Exam prep is supplemental study material. It carries no credit hours and does not satisfy the FREC 72-hour broker pre-licensing requirement, the post-licensing requirement or any continuing-education requirement. Exam prep is delivered online through our learning platform; purchase and access are completed in your online student portal. The Florida state examination is applied for through the DBPR and scheduled separately with Pearson VUE.

Do I need exam prep to get my Florida broker license?

No. What the Florida Real Estate Commission requires is the 72-hour broker pre-licensing course and its end-of-course exam. Exam prep carries no credit hours and isn't part of that requirement.

It's study material: a way to find out what you actually know before Pearson VUE does. If you haven't started your required hours yet, begin there — Florida broker pre-licensing.

What's on the Florida broker exam?

The Florida broker exam has 100 multiple choice questions, you'll have 3.5 hours to complete it, and you need a score of 75 or higher to pass. The exam fee is $36.75 per attempt.

It's administered by Pearson VUE, Florida's testing provider, once the DBPR approves your application and issues your authorization to schedule.

Which one should I start with?

If you're sitting the standard Florida broker exam, start with the Broker Drill & Practice QBank. It's built to concentrate on the state portion of the licensing exam, and the Performance Tracker tells you where the rest of your study time should go.

Add the Real Estate Math Video Library if the calculations are what slow you down. The other two products are for specific situations — see the next two questions.

Who is the Real Estate Law Exam Prep Course for?

It's for nonresident applicants seeking a Florida real estate license through mutual recognition. Those applicants sit the Florida Laws and Rules examination rather than the full state exam, and this course is built for it.

It covers Florida real estate license law, real estate-related Florida statutes, and Florida Real Estate Commission administrative rules, and it follows FREC's required content outline for that examination.

Who is the Community Association Management QBank for?

Community association management is a separate Florida license with its own examination — it isn't part of the broker exam. This QBank is for candidates sitting the Community Association Managers Examination.

Its topics and subtopics mirror the weight of the tested subjects: law 20%, procedure 25%, budgeting 25%, insurance 12%, and management and maintenance 18%.

What happens if I don't pass the broker exam?

You can reapply and retest with Pearson VUE, paying the $36.75 exam fee for each attempt.

Keep an eye on the clock, though: you must pass the state exam within 2 years of completing your pre-licensing course, or the course expires and you'll have to take it again.
