FLORIDA STATE REQUIREMENT DETAILS FOR REAL ESTATE PRE-LICENSING EDUCATION

Hours Required by the State: 63 hours

Licensing Exam: The Florida real estate state exam is administered by Pearson VUE on behalf of the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR). Registration for the state exam is an entirely separate process from the end-of-course examination. Once your DBPR application is approved, Pearson VUE will contact you by email with instructions to schedule your exam. Visit pearsonvue.com/fl/realestate for testing locations and additional information.

FREC Course Approval Number: [INSERT upon issuance by DBPR]

Course Expiration: Premier Courses' Florida pre-licensing course expires six months from the date of purchase. If you are unable to complete the course within the initial six-month window, paid extensions are available at an additional cost. All coursework must be completed within 12 months of the date of purchase. After 12 months, no extensions are available and re-enrollment at the full course price is required.

Certificates: Immediately upon course completion, Premier Courses will provide you with an electronic certificate of completion. Certificates remain accessible in your account for a minimum of five years. Course completion dates are recorded in Eastern Time (ET) and will be reflected on your certificate. Please refer to your DBPR license application to determine whether you are required to submit your certificate of completion.

End-of-Course Examination: The end-of-course exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. You must score 70% or higher to pass. You have two total attempts — your original attempt and one retake. If you do not pass on the first attempt, you must wait a minimum of 30 days before retaking. If you do not pass on the second attempt, you must re-enroll in and complete the course before attempting the exam again. (Rule 61J2-3.008(6))

Seat Time: All students are required to complete the minimum seat time associated with the 63-hour course. The course delivery system tracks and enforces this requirement automatically.
