Florida Pre-License Course Requirements - Florida Real Estate Commission School ID #ZH1003192
Premier Courses is approved by the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC) to provide the 63-hour Sales Associate Pre-License course required for all prospective Florida real estate sales associates. Premier Courses' school ID is ZH1003192.
The 63-hour course covers real estate principles, Florida license law, and real estate practice, and concludes with the FREC-required end-of-course exam.
Once you've completed the course and passed the final exam, you'll receive your certificate of completion and be ready to apply for the Florida real estate exam. Note that your course completion is valid for two years — you must pass the state exam within two years of completing the course.
Final Exam Information
The end-of-course final exam has 100 multiple choice questions. Per Florida Real Estate Commission rules, you must score 70% or higher to pass.
If you fail the final exam, FREC requires you to wait at least 30 days from the date of the original exam before retesting. You may retest a maximum of one time within one year of the original exam, and you'll be given a different form of the exam. If you fail the second attempt (or more than a year passes), you'll need to retake the course before testing again.
Completion Requirement Policy
The course must be completed within six months of registration. If you are unable to complete the course within the six month period, Premier Courses offers extensions for an additional fee.
Online Course Identification Requirements
Before taking your end-of-course final exam, you'll be asked to verify your identity with a current government-issued photo identification, such as:
- A current Florida driver's license.
- A current identification card issued by a state or U.S. government agency.
- A current passport.
The name on your identification must match the name on your course registration.
Reporting Your Course Completion
When you complete the course and pass the final exam, you'll receive a certificate of completion and your course completion is reported electronically to the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR).
You can verify your education record at any time through your DBPR online account at www.myfloridalicense.com.
